Poetic Exploration of the Heart

A Dog Person

A Dog Person

I am a dog person. Dogs know that. They come to me. There is something about the dog species that immediately puts me at ease. Big or small, beautiful or ugly, smelling of perfume or dirty flee-bags, I offer them all my hand for a sniff.

I am a dog person, and naturally, I trust dogs more than I trust people. Strangely enough, a dog trusts people more than he trusts other dogs. A man and a dog have that special connection.

I am a dog person. But right now I do not have a dog. Does that make me a dogless dog person?
