Poetic Exploration of the Heart

DE QUAEDAM

I am very much like a water violet: I do not have strong roots that hold me in one place, so the hasty stream of life keeps pushing me forward.

With no connection to the ground, on her way through the river, the water violet still manages to envelop her frail roots around a rock, or another river plant, and hold on to them, making herself at home, even if it is just for a short time, before the river rushes her onwards again.
