Poetic Exploration of the Heart

Fishing For Memories

The night is dark
and with clouds obscuring the stars
there isn’t much to see.
A sea like any other sea,
For the love of the Moon
it is ready to die.
When the Moon says, “Jump!”
it asks, “How high?”

There are many fish in the sea, they say
but if you catch the one you can ride on
don’t keep it at bay.
Put it to good use
let it be your muse.

Otherwise,
you’ll be just another lonely fisherman
sailing the seas
and fishing for memories.
